The Jack Reacher series of novels is quite possibly my favorite of all time. This dude is straight up just a Bauce. Strong, powerful, remorseless, yet equally helpful and kind.

plus he's a fukking bum and the fact that he cycles through Yankees players as names when he checks into hotels and gives work to random bytches

gee havent heard this before...Who would u guys prefer for the role, hugh jackman? thor? robert pattison? we are damn near close to a recession and hollywood is all about that cash.Cruise's star might not be as bright in 2012 but hes still a more bankable draw than the names I just mentioned.

I think our point is that the characters size is a big part of the narrative. It's mentioned multiple times in every single book. He's described as a giant. Since he's not a part of law enforcement, it's the way he gets people to give up the info. By being 6'5" 245 lbs of muscle. Being huge is the character.

I mean at one point he gets shot in the chest but his pecs are so fukking dense that the bullet does minimal damage. Cruise is not that guy.
