They keep releasing more cartoons, even though most starwars fans are between the ages of 25 and 65.
Imagine if Star Trek just decided to focus on toys and cartoons. They used to have rival fan bases, why do cater to completing different audiences now?

Why is it that star trek thinks it's audience wants to see Picard and elderly retired Admiral and Star wars thinks it's audience wants teen titans in space?
One of them must be getting it wrong. Maybe both, should be a happy medium somewhere. When i was a kid, i still enjoyed starwars and it was only the live action movies and novels.

Back in the 70's, you JUST had Star Trek toys and cartoons. Back then Star Trek:TAS was considered "canon". Its before my time, but the clip reminds me of Johnny Quest:

I'm also actually old enough to remember when Star Wars aired the "Droids" and "Ewoks" cartoons on Saturday mornings, so its not totally new there either.

The biggest Star Wars property right now is live action. Plus, of course they would want to cater to kids, it's a business. Those kids get their parents to subscribe to whatever service has the Star Wars shyt they like and buy the Star Wars toys they like. Those kids will grow with the franchise, like you did, and be paying customers in the future. The adult demographic you mentioned are the ones that made shyt like Clone Wars popular. Same with the video games.

There's a huge portion of adult comic book movie fans who have never picked up a comic book, but are the reason these movies are successful merely from watching the cartoons as kids. You can't go wrong, from a business standpoint, targeting children for this type of stuff because they haven't become cynical and jaded yet.
