New Singles Title Coming To WWE NXT Soon - WrestlingInc.com

A new secondary singles title is being planned for the WWE NXT brand.

NXT General Manager William Regal announced at tonight's TV tapings from Full Sail University that the NXT North American Title will be introduced at NXT "Takeover: New Orleans" during WrestleMania 34 Weekend.

As noted, General Manager William Regal announced at tonight's Full Sail University TV tapings that they will reveal the new WWE NXT North American Title at the NXT "Takeover: New Orleans" event during WrestleMania 34 Weekend.

We now know that there will be a six-man Ladder Match at Takeoverto crown the first-ever NXT North American Champion. Ethan Carter III, who made his NXT TV debut in the segment with Regal, is the first confirmed participant. The segment with Regal and EC3 should air on March 21st or March 28th.

As noted, WWE is planning on introducing new Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles to the 205 Live brand after WrestleMania 34 as well.

Good move. They something for guys further down the card, specifically NXT originals since the big belt is so often reserved for indie signings now. I don't get why they didn't just use the UK title, but it's not a big deal.
