New paper from Norway: Banning smartphones in school

- significantly decreased doctors visits for psychological symptoms and diseases among girls
- reduced bullying among both genders
- improved girls’ GPA and attendance rates
- largest effect sizes were among the poorest kids

Just one study, don't make national policy in US based on one Norwegian paper, we should run more experiments, etc

Need to see more studies under other various conditions.

We'd see some interesting results if phones were banned for children under 18 entirely.

If you have kids you know the psychological impact of taking phones away from kids I.e due to punishment. I don’t know if banning is the answer for teens who have been exposed to phones for 5 - 10 years, rather gradually reducing exposure.
