Amazing pics and video leaks of upcoming Nokia Lumia EOS superphone with rumored 41 Megapixel Camera. Camera's lens will have a MECHANICAL Zoom and shutter, as well as optical image stablization. It looks to be an amazing device!

I'm sure morons will poo poo it, but it will definitely be hailed as a techincal marvel when its released exclusively on ATT this summer.

God it feels good to be a Windows Phone customer. So exciting what the future holds..

Pretty much, but Nokia just needs to drop these shyts with that Android system and stop the bullshyt.

Nokia makes the best hardware, but they should really focus on android AND WP8. You don't put all your chips into one bet...that's a very dumb business move

What is the practical reasoning of having 41 mp camera on a phone? and if the sensors are still garbage what is the point? can't change the lens, nor can i upload a 41 mp picture to any social media or mobile app because it will be to large. Nice to have but no one is gonna buy this, just like the last pureview flop.

Your right though its a cool perk...but ultimately I'm not sure a powerful camera alone will motivate smart phone users, things have gotten to the point where phone cameras are up there with pro cameras but ultimately if your a photo buff your not buying a cell phone to take pics and the average consumer will be happy if it performs as goods as 2-300 dollar digital cameras while the photo buff is spending no less than a g on a camera

Anyways a 41 megapixel smartphone is meant to attract people who don't really know much about or care cameras/photography. 41 megapixels could come in handy though....not too sure about 30 megabyte images though.

actually the best phone camera's image sensor is about a 10th of a size of the image sensor in the cheapest dslr.

Ladies and gentleman, this is an example of blind and ignorant hate. The phone has that large hump due to the extremely large sensor in the phone, ensuring amazing picture quality. Furthermore, when you take a picture, it creates 2 versions, a large 41mg large for offline use and a 5 mg version for uploading. It is using a very sophisticated proprietary software oversampling algorithm to reduce noise and make the resulting image extremely sharp. Its extremely sophisticated technology that Nokia has already employed on the 808 Pureview phone.


you should really do some research before you blindly dismiss this great leap in smartphone innovation friend.
