I can see AZ lacing this gem, this is dope.....personally I love slow tempo'd beats, I just run through my head and envision rappers I like that would spit to this or any beat for that matter. As for "constructive" criticism? I think this beats nice the way it is.....

it wont play but I went to your soundcloud page and checked it out. I like it. I would need to hear it with different levels of reverb on that snare though. At this point it might be done right, however from a mixing standpoint it might need to be tweaked. The right amount of reverb to a snare can give the track the atmosphere, stadium status feeling, but too much just sounds like a snare with too much reverb.

Thanks man! I tried it at a higher BPM but this tempo made the sample come out doper.

Yeah sounds good to me...I would say most of my beats average out between 86-94 bpm, and most of my soul type samples are pitched up around 4 semis

yeah, same for me. Most of my beats are between 85-95 BPM but sometimes a sample sounds better at a lower pitch. That's why i did it this way.

Slightly les generally. I know on mpcs you can keep the level the same but adjust the wet/dry ratio.

I'll have to listen through monitors and my headphones more , I think the level of it is fine but adjusting either the wet/dry or the decay might enhance it

Only constructive criticism I have has to do with composition. I think the chords are weighted too equally. In hip hop you usually want to place emphasis on one chord in particular. So you should be trynna hit the sample like la, la, laaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Instead of laaaa, laaaa, laaaa
