I am not a nikka, but i'll throw my two cents in muahaha!
I think the chop is perfect for a more logical drum groove! If you make the drums sound more "together", meaning you create a nice groove, that is late a bit and quantize it after it would bang a lot more....Cause now if an mc wants to rap over it it would be kinda hard to catch the groove and hop on it! Good luck with the joints bruh!

i love the sample but i think it needs a kick in there or some kinda bass. That would take it 2 another level

There is a chemistry that makes a groove stand out in a track...The hi hats going along the snare and the kick, the percussion around it! Logical drum groove would be to make it like a simple kick and snare pattern, any pattern....Than take the hats and move them a lil off the tempo....Then it will start to stick a lot more and have that off beat felling...

I had a baseline on it but I removed it last min....didn't like how it sounded....kind of suck with the keys
Sometimes a beat just doesn't wanna be handled right...I used to get really frustrated back in the day, but through the years i found out that is best to let it simmer and just keep it movin on a new beat...But still you sould always try to improve with the keys....

i think u should try again with another bassline and the first time i listened was thru the cpu spekers but i just listened thru my monitor speakers and i can hear the kick now but i think you should use another kind of kick that doesnt sound like a 808 and use a different pattern because its not really complimenting the dope as sample. The way u chopped that shyt is great, just think you should keep experimenting with it tho

try some sounds that would make it sound more epic 2.

I thin you tried to create a fresh sounding new drum pattern, but the choice of drums didn't stick to the groove....Maybe some percussion would make it sound more thick!

I like my patterns and I think you right about the percussions and my drums...mainly the kick.....going work on a baseline also
