Austin Butler is set to star in Luca Guadagnino‘s new interpretation of the book “American Psycho” by Bret Easton Ellis for Lionsgate.

While there had been rumors that Jacob Elordi was being eyed to play Patrick Bateman, that casting didn’t come to pass. Elordi and Butler have something in common, having both played very different versions of Elvis in movies by Sofia Coppola (“Priscilla”) and Baz Luhrmann (“Elvis”), respectively.

The film, which features a script by Scott Z. Burns (“The Laundromat”), will not be a remake of the 2000 film, but a new adaptation of Ellis’ novel.

Knowing Guadagnino's penchant for gore, if he includes half the depraved shyt in the novel that never made the OG film they might have to bring back the X-rating for this shyt :wow:

Don't see the need for this as the OG holds up and Mary Harron as the director added to exploration of the themes in the film especially Bateman's coldness towards women.

There's only 3 white boys getting all the acting jobs. Butler, Chamalet and that generic ass Aaron Tyler Johnson :scust:

American Psycho was too unique and Bale did something that no one else could do. This will flop.
I like Butler in BIKERIDERS, but his character was just boring that was kind of the point.

Chamalet I just don't like his face but he's a good actor, Aaron is cool ig

I wish Spiderman had more non MCU shyt. He was great in Cherry
