Other than the varied/different gun shot effects, I didn't use any samples in this production.

Original piano is played and all drums are programmed.

It's one of the ways I produce - where no other hip hop producer sounds like me.

Okay. I'm not against oppressed people at all.

Escorts and cocaine dealers are not oppressed people.

There are levels to it all. You would know my views if you actually listened to the rhymes in the track.

I put those gun shot effects as in death to evil.
Cocaine dealers that push people to addiction and destruction are evil.

Prostitutes are self destructive.

If anything I wish them transformation.

The thing is, yes - killings happen in those worlds all the time. It's the nature of the energy there.

I'm proud that I can make dope sample free beats like a true musician rather than only flip samples.

I started making beats tweeking and playing with samples....then used full on sample segments.

I always programmed my drums. But Nightmare Fuel I used alot of breakbeats.

Which was still very difficult.

I sorted through over 200 breakbeats I found and kept.

Then when I "lived" with them I distilled the best 20 out of the 200.

Not all breakbeats from soul, funk records were dope. And some are just perfection.

This beat I played the piano and made up the melody.

A similar 100% original track using a Moog keyboard was my track called "Drugs" people love it and it's 100% original.

I was listening to Catharsis again.

I used a jazzy hi hat.

Even the one shots are hard to come by.

Stock sounds suck. Like tin Casio keyboard sounds.

I have built a sound library of dope drum one shots over 25 years. I still have my folders from 2000 archived.

I get obsessed and frustrated.

I go back and see certain drums not lined up perfectly and then some off beat slightly that work.

I get so deep into production but make sure to complete and sell albums to the public.

Doing that and being critiqued helped me get stronger and better.

And not become a bitter, hating, gear head with no complete album like many evil creatives became.

The point is to complete and sell albums like The Rolling Stones, Mobb Deep, Jay Z and Wu Tang.

All made dope music and sold millions!

To be dope and sell millions and have 2 million in cash is my goal.

With that money I would put on yearly showcases for new rap artists in Toronto and pay them!
