I think the first time I heard that beat was when it debuted on 106 & Park. That shyt blew me away, had me legitimately confused, and I just wanted to “figure it out”.

First time I heard that beat was on a Heavy Hitters instrumental mixtape around XMas 2001. I remember the mixtape also had the instrumental for "Feel The Girl" by Ms Jade. It wasn't till months later I heard the song in full. Once I heard the official song the beat was a lil slower then the original instrumental which was a lil faster.
