Actually it does.

Nelly is a 40 year old black man from the hood who grew up in the Golden Age of Hip-Hop. Chances are he heard Mobb Deep and other classic material coming up. During his beef with KRS One he talked about growing up on Criminal Minded. For another example, Rae Sremmurd are huge Nas fans... who'd have thunk it?

Just because an artists music doesn't normally sound like another genre or sub genre doesn't mean they don't appreciate it.

Those are usually interesting tracks when they work. Imo the LFO/M.O.P. works well too

quite possibly the strangest ALC placement. between this, Linkin Park and some others he was getting some massive checks in the early-mid 00's
