I have some thoughts on this which I will share later. But I will say it's interesting how the media is spinning this. Smh.

Erika Erickson got a Marvel Comics name.

Good thing she no longer has to work the papers with Peter Parker, Robbie Robertson, and J. Jonah Jameson.

I don't know what to think about the story. Either it smells like shyt in there, or the parents said as long as you live under my roof........and the teens said bet.

Let me give a little insight but yall can draw your oen conclusion. He was a freshmen at the school I used to work at. 4.0 student. Never missed school. Can hoop. But he's very rebellious. Would get into with teachers. I have taken him on trips and constantly had to stay on his head (pause). He ain't just a wild kid but constantly active.

I barely know the pops but he's friends with my pastor. He's preach at my church a couple of times. He has asked for help from the school, his b-ball coach, etc. But it ain't really nothing that can be done.

My theory is he chose to sleep on the porch and the parents feel powerless. That's why CPS ain't did nothing. This news story painting like the parents kicked him out.

This is what I saying in that other thread about the girl acting up in the store and everyone saying blame the parents. It's not always that simple.

You know this situation better than me, but I'm sure the parents are doing all they possibly can with him but he making his own decisions and living with the results. Can the parents be blamed for that?

I been in the public school system for over 20 years and seen every combination of good/bad parents raising good/bad kids to know that great parenting doesn't always lead to great kids and vice versa. It really is the luck of the draw

Sounds like undiagnosed mental issues

Drugs? Like some "not under my roof" loophole where he sleeps outside?

I'm assuming sleeping on the porch is still "under their roof". So that's how kid is getting away with this. Naw, I don't think he's on drugs. At least he wasn't when I knew him.
