I'm not super-techy at all, but I want to buy my brother a lamp that can easily change colors at the push of a button or via an app. I would like the light to fill up as much of the room as possible. The idea is for him to use it during video games.

For example: If he were playing a game where the level has him in Hell, then he'll be able to make the light in the room red. If the video game level has him in the ocean, then he'll be able to turn the light in the room blue-greenish. I got the idea from watching a video about a whole bunch of tech products. This is a light they recommended (not necessarily for video game playing though). Can anyone please recommend something similar or better for under $100?

I just checked and it's showing up on my tablet, but not on my phone. On my phone I'm viewing The Coli with the Brave Browser and that might be blocking it, despite it being a regular Amazon link.

Get the nanoleaf automated light panels and set up the colors for specific scenes. That’s expensive but you could just buy some LIFX color bulbs instead for $25 and do the same thing

You could just get a good lamp and put LED color-change bulbs into it - a lot of them have integrated apps these days, and those that don't generally come with remotes. Hell, there's Govee bulbs on Amazon for under $10 each right on up to the Philips Hue for the big money. Likely a simpler option - can get a good lamp that'll fit the décor and then just turn it into something with color.
