real talk! I have never been a fan of college anything at all as much as i love sports. I used to watch a lil college back in the day around the early 90's but only cause i played the video games. I cant into they have colleges ranked high going against very low ranked teams. You might have a team like lets say USC who's number one now play 3 ranked teams the whole season till the bowl games and damm near all the games are blowouts no fun watching teams running up scores. thats goes for b ball and football. watch enough highlights to maybe check for a player thats doing good that year but that about it. :manny:

Only reason I'm into college sports is because I went to a school that plays Div. 1 college sports. I never cared about college basketball or football like that before that point.

because every game is more important, the games are exciting because the level of heart and ties that the coaches, players, and fans have to the team and program, the stadiums are insane if they're in legit schools, the gap between the two teams playing can be very slim making for some real thrillers, and if you watch over time you can learn the development of players which is always great to see. In the pros, you don't get that specific experience IMO with few exceptions.

most importantly to me though:

Seeing HS kids as recruits, being excited to join the program that they sign to....turn to super green freshmen full of potential, freshmen turn to leaders, leaders turn to all americans, and those into heisman candidates (or go deeper in the tournement in bball) is really special and I personally root for those kids more than I ever would a pro athlete on my favorite teams.

I'm already as excited about Shane Morris and Drake Johnson as i am trey burke and denard robinson for example.

To add to this, you gotta go to a game. Because there's nothing in America that can compare to a game at the Big House, or Death Valley, or Autzen, or Cameron (if we're including basketball). Depends where you are in the country; I'm sure we could recommend a couple places to visit.

this touched my heart :wow:

i care more about college football and college basketball than i do the nfl and nba

there is nothing better than waking up on a saturday and watching college gameday at some university campus, there is nothing better than that smell of 12pm games in packed stadiums

some stadiums only seat like 25k some seat like 90k, each stadium in college football is unique, you never know if your gonna get a 60-0 beat down or a close game, the rankings which really mean nothing but nothing better than seeing like a ranked team go down and fans rushing the stadium or the arena. then theirs recruitment, walk ons, nothing better than mascots like sebastian, the oregon duck etc., rivarly games oregon state has nothing to look forward to till the game against oregon you may be 0-11 but that rivarly game

the different playbooks and offenses and defenses run, in college you may see a team running the spread, a team running the air raid, the option, a pro style offense, you may see defenses running a 3-2-5, may see a former walk on finally get a scholarship :to:

:wow:

i love college football with all my heart my soul and my mind:to:

i can understand that watching players develope from freshman to getting to pro's can be interesting. But the first part of players having heart and things are you implying that in the pro's they dont give it their all cause i dont buy that :comeon:

Unless it's a game between teams that are actually close to each in quality. Don't waste your time.

Well I'm not talking about giving your all when I say heart, I meant the connection to the school and the program. I know michigans locker room was fukking disaster last night because them dudes aren't just contract players who might get traded. They are that program; and the tie goes deeper, and it shows in the players imo.
