What's good. Honestly they don't sound like trap beats. The beats are good, but I am not necessarily sure rap is your niche. It sounds like you do more R&B atleast that's what I got from these beats. Just my 0.02

Those beats are nice, but they're a lil too mellow to be considered as trap beats. Trap beats usually sound more aggressive or just harder in general regardless of the tempo of the track.

The first beat has trap potential though if you were to alter the main melody a lil bit and add a harder bass like an 808. It doesn't sound like that's what your using now, but I could be wrong. It's just a suggestion though.

Here's a recent collab I did with DBR (who also posts here) if you looking for another example of a trap beat. He's prolly top 3 on here when it comes to that type of production.

you have a real spacy style, the second one is dope af btw. but yea not gettin a trap vibe just because these groove more than anything, which is great but not hard like trap. personally i wouldnt worry too much about genres if you wanna make your best stuff, a lot of times you make the music you want which falls in a genre instead of picking a style

They're good but I think the mixing could be done a little better. I think the atmosphere is just a tad bit too loud in the second one. Second one is the best of the two imo as far as overall beat. It could go either way as a rap beat or a r+b beat. Definitely not a trap beat though.

(1) You have some musical sense...You will be better off making more "musical" beats...Trap beats don't require that much musical sense...

(2) Trap beats are defined by the 808's layered over a high pitched sub-bass sound to create that loud BOOMING sound...The bass sound and patterns are what define Trap beats...

I have been trying to make trap beats myself, and for some reason, I just can't get that bass to boom...

yeah i got the same problem and im just one of those type of dudes i cant just put 3-4 notes in a loop and some 808 drums and feel like a made a trap beat. i feel like i gotta do more. only trap producer i know really doing it big was dj troomp. im sure theirs others but idk it seems like fl studios is the way to go for trap.
