Need help with logging into Steam...

So i just did a clean windows 10 upgrade.
Finally left 7 behind. Anyway, I can log into steam in my browser but not the app.
Origin would not load up either and was giving me missing dll errors.
I dl'd an older version of the installer and that did the trick.
Gonna try that with steam but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts.

hmm...not finding any reputable places to get an old version of the installer.
looks like i'm locked out of my steam account other than on the browser.
i can't find any customer support either.
any advice on that front would be welcomed.
