I just bought the brand new Vizio 42 inch M420KD and its a beast of a TV, its an LED Smart TV with 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and I love it. However, when I seen my mothers 46 inch Inisgnia there was something about it that made things look better than it does on my TV. I found out that its the "True Motion" feature that her TV has. Event hough my TV is at 120gh refresh rate and hers is a 60, her TV looks a lot better in motion. As a still pic, my Vizio looks a lot better but with motion it does not look as good even though my refresh rate is higher. Im considering trading this Vizio for a 46 inch Sharp with the same specs just it has a "true motion" feature and its not a smart TV. Am I tripping about something thats not even there or am I on to something.

My Vizio is so new that I cant find many reviews about it so I cant judge it against other TV's. Holla at a nygga and let me know something.

Im a beast when it comes to technology my nygga so I dont think im trippin. I was searching for reviews/comparisons and I noticed that my Vizio has no type of "motion feature", for Insignia its called "true motion" for Samsung its called "clear motion" and for Vizio its called "smooth motion" but my TV does not have that feature, even at the 120 refresh rate, when I checked other Vizio's some of them had it and some did not.

Is this a feature thats common on most TV's, cause as I said, my TV looks great with a still pic but not as great during movements, mo mama's TV is cripsy as fukk with movement and thats what I want out of my TV ya dig. Im bout to find the specs real quick to show you what I mean.

I just think you need to make a couple of adjustments and y'all be good. Maybe the lighting is different at your mother's house. I don't know but I don't think an Insignia would outperform a Vizio unless it has a better signal going to it.

i cant even say outperform, its just something that you will notice visually. The smooth motion feature is so common i bet all of you nyggas TV,s have some form of it, and its easily noticeable if you are comparing to a TV that does not have the feature. i did not even notice it as I have had this TV for about a month now, i aint notice a thing until i went to my OG crib recently and seen her TV in motion. The feature is something thats hard to explain verbally, but easily noticeable visually. You know how sometimes shyt looks so clear its as if you are looking thru a glasss, well the motion feature causes this and my TV does not have one.

dude bout to bring this 46 inch Sharp thru (it does have the feature) so if I trade him im getting 4 more inches with the loss of a smart tv and LED, thats not too bad.

Well, that sounds like a plan right there. Just see what works best for you and let it ride.
