so I just bought two new Yamaha HS5 monitors :takedat:and I'm not getting the sound from them that I want (the volume is really low if I don't turn the speakers all the way up). I'd love some suggestions on different cheap mixers that would help me control the volume better.

You will need an external interface audio for optimal quality for your monitors . Mixer not gon help much unless it have a build in audio interface in it . Make sure you use trs cables for your monitors once you have your soundcard and that the interface you get have trs input . Trs cables are the one with 2 circular line on the metal . Those with one circular line will work but quality will not be at his best .

Hope it help

thanks for the help, really appreciate it.

Ok, do you have any examples of good interfaces that aren't over $100?

It depend on what you need . Is it gon be for producing only or you planning on recording vocals and other live instruments ? For under 100$ id say the alesis io2 express . This one was my first interface and it was dope . You can find it on ebay for around 80 $ brand new . The cool thing with this one is you can control the volume of your headphone and monitors separately . Even my new roland quad capture dosnt have this feature and it cost over 300 $ . Plus the alesis io2 express look real good and have decent sound and features for its price . There is plenty of usb audio interface on ebay under 100 $ just make some research and get what suit you the most .
