if you want a Blu-Ray burner they're available. it's just impractical to spend $100 on one when you can get 3TBs of storage on a hard drive for like $130.How come blurat burners arent around?

I'm saying you can build a better computer for $500 than you can get prebuilt. The advantage of prebuilt is the monitor I guess. You can build a no compromise PC for $500 or must it be a pre-built?

that Vostro weights a bit more first thing i noticed
The one i posted also has USB 3.0 ports , which allows for faster data transfers from usb's and externals
there very similar i would personally go with the Inspiron just has a sleeker look
