Just build them one you could probably do it for like 300 if you have some old components.

thanks bruh...do any of these stand out to u??

i didn't really look, just check out the specs and read the reviews.
i saw some i5s there, get a system with at least 4gigs of ddr 3 ram and an i5 and your folks should be good.

edit...not so sure about the i5 being available but look around anyway.

How come blurat burners arent around?
if you want a Blu-Ray burner they're available. it's just impractical to spend $100 on one when you can get 3TBs of storage on a hard drive for like $130.

I've thought about getting one but every time i went to do it i ended up buying a larger hard drive instead. i got like 8TBs of storage on my gaming PC and 2 more on my other PC so what's the point of one?

You can build a no compromise PC for $500 or must it be a pre-built?

aight I think I got one....would this be ok??
Newegg.com - DELL Vostro 270 (469-1954) Desktop PC Intel Core i3 3220(3.30GHz) 4GB DDR3 500GB HDD Capacity Intel HD Graphics 2500 Windows 8 Pro 64-bit

edit: @newarkhiphop u think its worth it compared to the dell u posted??

 that Vostro weights a bit more first thing i noticed

The one i posted also has USB 3.0 ports , which allows for faster data transfers from usb's and externals

there very similar i would personally go with the Inspiron just has a sleeker look

I'm saying you can build a better computer for $500 than you can get prebuilt. The advantage of prebuilt is the monitor I guess.
