So I got this sticky situation now with my producer and his label. I finished writing my mixtape and we were on the way to get to the studio and such until he decided he wants to make something more marketable. Now i'm not really a artist thats looking for the fame or major label support. Just want to do some music and quit for a time. But since he got the beats and studio he wont let me work until I make some friendly music. Now I got this idea to make myself less marketable by creating a vulgar horrorcore album. So I need to learn how to produce some stuff and my question is: What is the easiest way to start and what kind of equipment is essential for beginning producers. Also should I just buy some studio time or should I just build my own home studio???
