Need drum kit assistance

So basically been getting told alot lately by other producers that have made it, that I need more "up to date" drum samples.

Now every once in awhile I purchase drum kits, but I feel like there all the same kits for the most part, just EQ/Distorted differently.

Thats a pretty vague statement, theres not really a such thing as a new or old drum. Unless they were trying to sell you a kit then they might have been lowkey telling you to choose different drums for your beats or they may have been saying that you should use drums more up to date, for instance boom bap is out whereas trap style drums are kind of more 'in'

If you think about it. Trap drums are more in but are basically just 808s and have been around since the early 80's.

Maybe you can show us some examples of your work? so we can check your drums and maybe give some advice.

@Myrical Lyfe your drums do sound like they come from a drum machine.
Go to reddit drumkits section...download some ducko mcfliii...and then go to boi1da.net and download his kits.
