The full quote is the threads title and then this...The words "white skin" and "rare" shouldn't coexist
How rare? One may learn by walking down a street in paris, london or new york on any weekday, particularly in an unfashionable street. And keep count of the satisfactory complexions encountered in the course of a mile. Where dark complexions, our mask make, they make the white look bleached out, unholsome, sometimes frankly ghastly......... - Mark Twain
What was "Nefarious" about anything discussed here? You feel attacked, you do. So lets discuss it like gentleman
Twain said that white people age like milk and that the white skin needs so much help that it can't even come close, even with the makeup.
Out of 100 white people, one might have great skin. In comparison, black people and those of darker complexions have perfect skin that doesn't get reduced value with blemishes and the like.
Obviously weird given the time period and white people's fascination - even to this day - but not as nefarious as OP is making it out to be.
