NBC orders office comedy with DC superheroes

Powerless
Posted January 7 2016 — 6:16 PM EST

It’s The Office with superheroes.

NBC has ordered a comedy pilot set in the DC Comics universe “full of superheroes, villains and people just like us.” The title is Powerless and it’s billed as “an office comedy about the exceedingly average employees at an insurance company and their quest to find their own power.” Ben Queen (Cars 2) is the writer. So it’s a bit like… DC’s Agents of Allstate?

Powerless is one of four pilots ordered by the network on Thursday that also include Marlon Wayans potentially returning to TV in a self-titled series. The pitch: “Loosely inspired by Marlon Wayans’ life, this multi-camera comedy centers on an inappropriate but loving father (Wayans) committed to successfully co-parenting with his polar opposite ex-wife.”

:patrice:So its about normal people working in an office. Or super heroes working in an office

It's about normal people working in an office.

They just happen to live in the DC universe. Apparently they work for an insurance company so they probably have to deal with claims for superhero/supervillain damage and shyt.

huh? I haven't heard anything about this.

Yeah same here I was just going on the last part of that link...I don't care about a random superhero office type show:heh:

Marlon ain't been on a sitcom in damn near 20 years I'm all in if this happens:obama:

link him back up with Essence Atkins from the Haunted House flicks

That be funny as shyt she goes all in on all her roles.

NBC is just desperate for that superhero money. They should just renew Heroes and get a writing crew I board to help tighten the stories and fix the horrible pacing.
