NBA should do away with free throws on shooting fouls

If I get fouled on a missed layup, why should I have to shoot 2 shots from 15 ft?

I feel you should just get an uncontested layup.

Same for any shot. You get fouled on a miss, you get one shot from where you attempted the shot.

I get fouled on a 3pt miss from 23ft, yet I gotta make 45ft worth of shots(3 free throws)

nah, but on 2k i turn off players fouling out.
i'd say any foul after a player 5th in cbb/6th in nba would result in FTs
