Inside the NBA is ending but that doesn’t mean Shaq, Chuck or Kenny won’t ever appear on TV again

They could very well end up with NBC or Amazon
One thing you know about Chuck is he loves to gamble so he's gonna need that check coming in.

Amazon's got deep enough pockets to entice him to come over

Yeah, unfortunately Ernie is on contract so he can't go with them but Chuck said if Ernie isn't on the show then he won't be.

Maybe NBC or whoever can buy Ernie out?

Chuck is about a check, if Amazon throws a big bag he going

Ernie is a Turner lifer he’s not leaving regardless
Yeah, time will tell I guess.

Like I said though, the show definitely caught lightning in a bottle. Maybe they can find something similar but it'll be tough.

It may take a couple or few generations of kids for a reset and get a new crew repping too though.

Like a Draymond and someone else. Preferably someone Draymond has a rivalry with.

The NBA survived for 50+ years without Inside the NBA, they will be fine

And people watching shows like Inside the NBA & First Take while not actually watching games speaks volumes as to why NBA discourse is in the gutter today

It speaks volumes on the status of the product, the actual games.

Shouldn't be this many tears over a talk show that the producers had to force the host to stop shytting on the product.
And now they got Draymond on the team to raise the hater levels to unknown fathoms and make sh*t ten times worse. Hate to say it but maybe it is time for Inside The NBA to wrap it up :francis:

TYRONE GA!
:wow: ESPN A package : 2.8 Billion

NBC B package: 2.6 Billion

Amazon C package: 2.0 billion

Rip to inside the NBA but business is business
So 7.4 billion a year, minus the league's cut ,split between 30 teams.

They get 2.7 bill a year currently. This nikka Silver ALMOST TRIPLED the current deal. :damn:

TNT is based in Atlanta.

NBC is based out of Stamford. They'd probably prefer their shows be done out of their buildings

Ernie ain't uprooting. That's a big part of it. But Ernie been riding forever for Turner.

Heard an interesting idea...

What if they took Inside the NBA (or a spin of it) and put it on YouTube? Live reactions after every Nationally televised game. Right now, there are podcasts that go live and recap and react to the games. Imagine if the talent went and did something like that and followed the McAfee blueprint.

Ernie's been with TNT like 35 years, he might be loyal to them and stick around
Ernie doesn't only cover the NBA and basketball. Shaq, Chuck and Kenny only cover the NBA and NCAA for a month. Ernie will have other assignments where as the others wouldn't outside of Match Madness.

Yes and no

But if you’re relying on your basketball takes from people who don’t watch games themselves, is it not a losing battle already?
