He should have made THAT a SINGLE!!! :wow:

and then Quan killing the BREAK.... :whew:

I was gonna actually post that in the thread, but I thought about it after...so I was like ahh fuk it! lol

But yea, Nas has a serious impediment when it comes to picking his singles for his albums. He completely ignores the ones that have any potential for being a hit.

:wtf:

the trashcan
Sitting up drunk, shuffling thoughts
Got paper but I'm lost
Losing focus, what a nikka still hustling for?
My seed is straight, the family's settled
Idle time get the man in trouble
When wifey tourin', my life get borin'
Start to remember all types of torment

Damn!

God's Son/Street's Disciple are some of Nas' most introspective moments. Very underrated period in his career and all because of the 'clean' production on SD

One of my favorite underrated Nas tracks. Quan's voice at the end was heavenly. Reminds me of the vocals on Christian Denim Flow.

I always felt that Quan bridge should have been used throughout the track together with Busta's part.

That album was pure filler and underproduced doo doo. And I'm a heavy Nas fan. Lyrics as always on point, but this nikka is terrible at beat selection and the choices he had to chose from, dealing with Columbia.

Would not make SENSE WHATSOEVER!!! just think about it for a second, put 2 and 2 together... :what:

the reason it was a hot BREAK was cuz of it being the peak of the song where as it led you to the end, imagine having that after busta's hook? you'd have a dragging song...

Love this track but the real credit goes to Danny Elfman from his Classic "Dead Presidents" theme:

"Like that N!gga in Dead Presidents said, Money to Burn" - NaS
