Don’t w/ fif, and bookeem woodbine are solid. The rest sound like he’s trying too hard to be “modern.”

Why doesn’t Nas work w/ Griselda’s production teams and Alc? Tired of this faux-ATL sounding ish, I want it to sound NYC

Not a fan of hit-boy with legacy NYC artist

It’s not bad, just doesn’t interest me

The fact that people STILL try to A&R Nasir Jones is so fukking disrespectful. Totally inconceivable..

Serious Question.... at what point would you feel comfortable saying he knows what he's doing?

OR you saying he's not your type of musician

I don't mind Nas working with other producers but the lack of creativity in suggestions is a pain in the ass...does it HAVE to be boom bap adjacent? Why not Sounwave? Why not DJ Quik? Why not Pharrell? Why not Araab(only suggestion mentioned in here I've seen that's not the usual). Hell fukk it, I'm interested in seeing what he can do with KAYTRANDA if they can get the chemistry right. fukkin Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, Yusef Dayes, Tom Misch, Nubya Garcia...there's plenty of artists in the boom bap scene and Nas left that space decades ago.

Wasnt feeling it at first...but has grown on me heavy..one thing Ive noticed with nas albums is you can never go in with an idea of how YOU want it to sound and then when its different than what U wanted you are going to be automatically disappointed regardless of quality.

I mean he said it 20 some odd years ago...'ive been changing on nikkas since bbq'...and yet we think where he's going to go...

I've been saying the same for years. Fat Joe said he was trying to get Nas to meet him in the studio when he was there to work on songs for HWH7 with WSG, but Nas couldn't make it. But that type of production is perfect for Nas, so I'm hoping they can get him in there at some point to put some sh*t together.

Fat Joe would be good executive producing.

Hear me out, in this series all albums sound different thematically and I think that's by design. I feel as if this is their "experimental" feel things out album because they already did everything else. KD was their commercial album, 2 was a mix of that and it delved into a traditional soulful album, Magic the boom bap album and 3 the perfection of the union. So what's next? If they mimick what they did on the first three it's "more of the same".

I was at the barbershop earlier, and dudes said the same. That Nas should get WSG to "curate" his next album and get him on some Griselda production. That's another combo that I think would be really dope. Get Conway and Benny on some tracks with him.

The idea of Nas rapping over slow ass Daringer drums makes me want to throw up lol. There are certainly Griselda-type beats that fit him but not as many as many fans think IMO.

Nas needs a Westside Gunn approach production. I still go back to their past songs they made while blowing up.

Nas should do his next series with BeatKing and make WAP anthems. Or over some grime beats that NY co-opted. Or over coffee shop lofi. Or some 2010 Noah "40" Shebib joints with Ja Rule harmonies. Or we can all just enjoy the adventure of one of the greats.

Ran thru it real quick driving to work this morning. Like I said a week ago, Hit’s sound under Nas’s wizardry/magic can never be bad or nothing like that…but it can get redundant after 5 whole ass albums straight, that’s why I was hoping for different production…wasn’t to slight Hitboy, it’s just time for something new.

I don’t know what some of y’all are listening to tho, lol, yall going way too far, 😂. This shyt is dope…as lighthearted and cruise controlish as a lot of it sounds, Nas is rapping rapping rapping on here…it’s just the “sound” man…it’s run it’s course…at least for now. Let Hit sit on the bench for a little bit and get some fresh legs in there for an album or two. And not for nothing but I hate when Nas does the “today” rappers flow, lol, it’s why I don’t love “Rare” like I know a lot of y’all do. Etc… He was doing that a little too much on here.

I’d give it a nice B- just off Nas’s pen and Hit’s solid music. Only real major complaint is it’s too “safe” sounding, like some victory lap, encore shyt lol, like they are MADD comfortable…that’s what I’m trying to say, it sounds like Nas and Hit are wild comfortable, like no serious hunger/passion/creativity. Sometimes being too comfy isn’t good and can make you lackadaisical and complacent. But again, yall trippin, lol…shyt still jammin and it’s probably the most “vibey” one they dropped. Yeah, I’m cool with a B-…if you say C+ I won’t eat your lunch over that.

Motion my favorite shyt def so far. The shyt with 50 is hard, I like 50’s shyt talking lol. What this all really means is fire. Etc… I’m a run it back a few times tonight, see what I’m feeling.

That modern flow been working lately but then again I liked Rare
