I've never seen him as the underdog or the goat. Him being the underdog is just amongst the people you wouldn't want to have a hiphop discussion with. Who might have Snoop Dogg and 50 cent in their top 5. Just like you have the ones who will hate on someone like Jay cause he's a pop superstar.

But real talk, Nas is always in the goat discussion among real hiphop heads. If they don't feel him like that, they will still mention him out of respect.
