I remember hearing God's Stepson for the first time and thinking it was better than God's Son.

I prefer the original with the lone exception being that song with Alicia Keys. 9ths beat was better than the retail imo
This sounds like a blend...I know it is...but it's bad when they have a sound that makes it obvious.
Good remixes are supposed to sound like.. legit songs

Made You Look is better than anything 9th made on Stepson but Stepson is the overall better listening experience.

My biggest issue with Stepson is that it's edited. Nas never released explicit acapellas for that.
I'd probably take the OG just because certain joints like Get Down, Made You Look, Book of Rhymes, and Revolutionary Warfare I just can't imagine with any other beats.
I do love that remix 9th did for The Cross though.

Voted for 9th off the strength of Ether using the same sample as Jays Friend or Foe and the whole vibe of the song changing so that's dope to me personally it felt more vicious and dismissive than aggressive like it sounded on the og beat. I also the alicia keys song, the cross, and a few others but Get Down and Made You Look are better than anything 9th ever did

I voted for 9th's Stepson. The majority of the productions on that album was way better than 'God's Son'. Nas is still a Hip hop icon though.
