Nas said in an interview that the song was meant for the Rush Hour 3 soundtrack but there ended up actually being NO official soundtrack so he threw it on his Greatest Hits album (along with the Chris Webber version of Surviving the Times) so it would have a "home".

I believe the same thing occurred with Shine On Em, meant for the Blood Diamond soundtrack (apparently Leonardo Di'caprio is a Nas fan) but no official soundtrack dropped....
