A lot of international acts.

They went global this past year, India turned out to be a revenue haven for them and they signed more Indian and Pakistani and now African (Ghanian) artists. I dont know what they can do for them in terms of marketing but they seem to have following in their countries so i gues its godo

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
That 93-97 run is the most influential and iconic run a singular producer has ever had in Hip Hop history and single handedly produced FIVE classic albums that shifted the very fabric of the genre. RZA gave birth to your favorite producers including Kanye West, Havoc, the Coli’s favorite white boy Alchemist and damn near anyone else you wanna name that came before him.
This nikka has an issue with Alchemist for literally no reason. lol.

You’re high
Every single wu affiliated producer was doing their impressions of rza.
So even when rza wasn’t working, he was WORKING
I wasn’t saying it in a negative way. I meant he made 6 classic albums in 4 years most top 5 record producers have about 5-6 classic albums so it’s impressive RZA did that in 4 years. Yes he had true master and the other producers learning from him as well though.

I feel like RZA wasn't very influential on Alc. Preemo for sure is his biggest early influence. Muggs as well. And then when the 10's began, Madlib, Oh No, and Roc Marci. I mean RZA was influential on everybody, but I don't feel like Al was influenced by him more than most. I feel like Havoc had his own flavor separate from RZA as well, and definitely was influenced a lot by Q-Tip after working together on The Infamous. Kanye for sure has cited RZA as a huge influence.

Al's early beats are straight Preemo bites. Evidence even told him he had to stop biting Premier.

great song. Just watched that whole video. Made me nostalgic for that era. Seemed like warmer times, for sure. The twin towers shot is crazy. Pretty sure this video dropped right before 9/11.

edit: Damn, the video was filmed on 9/7.

Am I the only one who hasn't stopped listening to "Define My Name" since it came out?
I like the song but I do feel both parties were missing a little something to make it better.

I have level headed/realistic expectations for the album, think it’ll be solid & I’d be happy with that.

If they dropped it in the mid 2000s as planned, my expectations would be MUCH higher, for obvious reasons.

He's not playing around.

I sincerely hope Premo doesn’t put TOO much pressure on himself. When you hear the stories of most of their collabs they were very organic, with Premo already having an idea of what Nas wanted/needed and Nas cooking up his lyrics right there on the spot. Memory Lane is the only Nas collab that I believe Premo said he felt pressure once he heard One Love and The World Is Yours.

I know there are otherwordly expectations for the two of them but I don’t think they should feed into it. Neither of them are going to mail in this album or give less than their best. I don’t want Premo to overthink it.
