If it's delayed, there's no doubt in my mind that it's because of Premo.

Dude had to know Nas would green light this anticipated album eventually. I would've had 20-30 UNDENIABLE beats ready and stashed away for Nas to choose from, if I were Premo.
It's funny, if you really go through the history, a lot of Premo joints that almost happened, and songs that came close but never fully came through, was because of him. I'm not dissing him either. Pretty sure he's openly told a lot of these stories.

I also think Preem a lot of times is almost like Dre in terms of being a perfectionist, and I know he's said before that he doesn't make beats unless it's a joint that's been paid for, or if he's in a session with someone. He's not making beats all day for fun like a Madlib, Alchemist, Nottz, or a 9th Wonder.

Nas just dropped what, six albums in just a 2-3 years? I have a hard time believing anything involving him that's being delayed is due to him.

If it can be like Royce’s Prhyme albums it can be good.
See funny enough I thought those were restricted heavy since they forced Preem to sample only one artist on each album. Only Adrian Younge samples on Prhyme 1 and only AntMan Wonder samples on Pryhme 2.

I think most producer projects where there's only one sample source get stale. I want to like both Prhyme album more than I actually do

This album doesn’t have to be be exactly like it but I did like the direction they were using. Even the Gangstarr album was good with a bunch of beats that aren’t bad.

Rza had 4 good years from 93-97 and he hasn't produced a great album since then.
That's definitely the argument against RZA. His fall off is about as bad as any great producer there's ever been. But the flip side is that that 93-97 run was honestly so god damn good that it still puts him in the GOAT conversation just off the strength of that itself.

That 93-97 run is the most influential and iconic run a singular producer has ever had in Hip Hop history and single handedly produced FIVE classic albums that shifted the very fabric of the genre. RZA gave birth to your favorite producers including Kanye West, Havoc, the Coli’s favorite white boy Alchemist and damn near anyone else you wanna name that came before him.

Yes he gave birth to and tended those fatter him, but a 4 year run though? Marley marl’s run was longer than that from 87-93 producing a lot of classics as well.

This is true, but it’s contradictory if you don’t have Larry Smith in your top 5. Look at his short 4 album run with Whodini and Run DMC
