Exhibit B: The album's cover features two sons of the Afro-Diaspora, with the their faces placed inside a map of the African continent

Exhibit C: There are many songs that allude to Africa on the album

Exhibit D: Neither artist has ever done a video in Africa (and NO, "One Mic" video with what looks like an apartheid-esque protest was shot in L.A. by some kids from South Central, I believe they were baseball players or something)

Exhibit E: There are plentiful places they could have visited from tribal places to modern cities with the masses of poor or the increasing number of professionals and educated folks...

if they did that then people would say they were trying to hard though, or that nas needs get head head out of africa and should stop shooting videos with african tribes, or some other complaint because nas can't do anything right.

I recognize those sentiments would have came out, but damn...they are talking about Africa breh....

Even Talib and Ludacris managed to shoot videos there, and their albums weren 't even about African in no way ......

Nas has been to Nigeria like 3 or 4 times

The Marleys spend a lot of time in Africa as well. (Rita Marley lives in Ghana)

They DID shoot Land Of Promise and Nah Mean in Jamaica, also the Patience video was shot with a VERY strong theme of African location, culture, and pride. I honestly doubt they got the budget to shoot in Africa itself...

Honestly, you're right. I expected a video shot in Africa. However, it doesn't diminish how powerful the album is.
