This album was trash.

Only good record was the remix to sitting in my car.

Which was never on the album.

Plus because of sampling law judgements. Was pulled.

luckily. You can still find it.

I'm sorry, I can't. The album just wasn't good. I can't name 4 songs I like. And I physically own it.

:wtf: i literally just re-listened to this album days ago at work.

Top Cat (i appreciate this more being catset now)
Mistakes of A Woman In Love With Other Men
Moses
I Shouldn't Have Done It
Bond

i'm glad i wasn't old enough to be a fan of Slick Rick or BDK to witness their decline in real time. though it's still evident, i can appreciate the lesser albums a little more. huge step down from Great Adventures -- still dope and has great storytelling, but the energy and "swag" aren't there for the most part. he was really goin through it in real life, so i get it.

Great minds be in the same wavelength :myman:

yeah I was young when this album came out too but growing up, it’s one that I listened to often from my cousin’s collection of albums

trash doe?
unfortunately,...yeah.

def jam and slick rick imo had disconnect in that era.
as the a&r direction of defjam. was leaning heavily into the westcoast ideal. hence the warren g offbrand culturally non-associated first vinyl single from this record.
so quality on this record, and slick bar to bar.
leaves a lot to be desired. especially with him having so much mic rust from the inactivity in that time period.
if not for the b side remix i posted. which was not included on the album.
plus was pulled because of sampling clearance issues that were lost administratively as well.
so,...i don't remember.
if the vinyl for this single for this was only given out to record pools as a cutout level vinyl.
which did not see much light of day in retail. if at all..if i remember right.
as it was pulled so quick.
that copies of this on vinyl were super rare even back then.

I am comfortable and I love you
Album falls off a cliff after Mistakes, but it has some of his best storytelling. I read somebody say Bond sounds like The Bomb Squad if they scored a Hanna Barbara cartoon, which is pretty apt :russ:

This also needed to be on the album, not relegated to a B-side
