His type of promos weren't easy...people will try to point at Superstar Billy Grahem as the influence of it all but his way of speaking and getting it done was pretty unique and along with that theme song, you can see NOW why it all worked so well.

Jake Roberts was fantastic though...a great wordsmith on how he needed to get his point across. Never had to yell or be flamboyant, he was subtle and sounded psychological...even as face.

Jake roberts was good but only wrestling fans appreciate it.

In the big picture, he's a pretty underrated promo. Everytime he spoke before a big match, it felt like something you had to see. And even if a little senile, he's still pretty good today.
