My number one answer and only answer for this is "Casino".

After surviving the heaven and hell of the casino game (and nearly being blown up IN THE PROCESS), we see this brilliant shot of PAcino looking back decades later as an old man. No words, just dialoge...just staring into the camera.....

This ending was just a beautiful piece of cinema, and one of the reason's Scorcese will remain in my top ten movie directors of all time.
