Wresting promotions always have a event that will be like no other. I'm talking they put the soles and toes into the gumbo, cooking it up and will forever be considered a classic.
Ala the "Wrestlemania 17" effect. Most folks consider this event to be the end all and the best WWE PPV and possibly the best Wrestlemania of all time. Sadly, with that big responsibility comes a burden there's nothing that could top such a event on the level of matches, fanfare, casuals, and talk among wrestling heads.
In your opinion, what was that one wrestling event that peaked the entire promotion on a magnum opus tip (labor of love and etc). Here are some examples:
GCW:
This was the event that put GCW on the map on the perspective that this was going to be the successor of CZW. It was like a love letter to deathmatch, flippy, and catch can shyt. Plus you have a legit storyline that overshadowed the entire event. You had Nick Gage who lost the belt to Rickey Shane Page and basically felt like the promotion was being under hostile takeover. So it was all out war or in this case a complete sacrifice of the "King". Everything from the title of the event to the logo MDK on the ring mat was indication that Rickey was either going to die that night, or he's was going to fight for his life.
Since then, there has never been another event that will captivate and make GCW a legit threat, especially with that godawful "The Wrld" event from last year.
This was the one brehs...this was the event that felt like there was no coming down. DDT showed the hell out that night from the introduction, the matches, to the conclusion (which as a Thespian spoke to me because of cinema). While Peter Pan was the better show, this was the soul of DDT and a good watch.
