My Trip To Amsterdam - Let's Discuss Maturely

So I was in Amsterdam for a few days, and a few things I noticed.
Not sure if HLR is the right section, lemme know

1) Despite having mcdonalds and burger king and drinking spots on every road how come the people there aren't fat? I'm walking around and everyday I barely saw any fat people, much less obese. Yes many use the bicycle a lot but not everyone.
In America there are so many people that are fat and even obese.
Why such a massive difference in yo opinions?

2) In Amsterdam I saw couples where it was a beautiful girl with an ugly guy, and both looked affectionate with each other and this is throughout various age groups not just one generation type of thing.
I was checking asses as I normally do. And you know when there's a hot girl with a nice ass many guys you see stare, there NONE.
And you know when you see a girl with a hot ass sometimes when she passes guys she may look back to see if anyone is looking? This is a foreign concept there.
I was checking asses and none of the girls checked to see if any1 was staring.
We as a society seem sooo very much more superficial than them.

Also couples there show way more affection with each other in public than here in North America.
Why is there so much more love there?

3) Everyday I was in a train or in a bus. In America in trains and busses everyone is just looking down at their phone, over there almost nobody was.
Over here you go to a restaurant, and they got wifi everywhere there, and in America couples usually be checking their phones.
Over there no man, everyone is just having conversations man...

We are superficial, unhealthy and quite distracted by technology.
They are simple, seem to like simplicity, most are not even chubby let alone fat or obese and are not in a distracted state.

What is up with that?

Second off, I went to Amsterdam earlier this year. To answer your points:

1) Yes, it's because they walk/bike everywhere. You see the same thing in very walkable American cities too. Also, a big reason is smaller portion sizes over there too.

2) Europe (white people) prefer t*ts, not ass, so they don't think to look back at it. In regards to the ugly guy/pretty girl couples one thing I noticed is European girls were a bit less obnoxious/stuck up about looks compared to Americans. I didn't stay long enough to investigate what they do like though. Europeans typically don't post revealing pictures of themselves on social media, unless they're a model/getting paid, which was also a plus compared to here.

3) Definitely noticed less phone usage in my time over there as well. Again, not really sure why, but the urban layout of their cities lends to more face to face interaction in general and more communal living.

Good notes op. I think the concept of butt might not be so high to them, maybe they are used to meeting in circles, women have a standard of beauty in which is relative to the men in their nation. Nationalism? The food thing idk that's interesting. How often are natives going out ?

Its because they dont use high fructose corn syrup in their carbonated beverages.

HFCS55 is what has caused Americans to blow up. It increases the size of fat cells and tumors.

It may answer some of your "quality of life" questions.



I could be wrong, but I found that staring at asses may be a cultural thing, specific to black men. I don't really see other groups doing it (except those that are culturally adjacent to black folks) and there is certainly no other group fixated on ass as much as we are. Not gonna front, I do it every so often, but it can legit come off as obnoxious, thirsty, and predatorial.

I lived in London for six months and in traveling to other European countries, I've made some of the same observations. Cultures are just different. I've even noticed the differences in the little things, like walking or eating.

Europeans have really mastered how to live and enjoy life.
