Look into Pilates, it will improve your posture guaranteed. I started it after my lifts got heavier and needed some serious stretching and not just the usual quick stretch before and after. Glad I got the Pilates book as a gift, thought it was some ladies only thing.

Pilates: It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing, and developing a strong core or center, and improving coordination and balance.

:ohhh:

Not to be on some Macho bullshyt, but I always thought that was for women working on their figure :pachaha:

But that's perfect, any other core exercises I use with this?

That's what I'm working on now, but it feels so unnatural. I never noticed how bad it was.

I thought a out getting a brace

But a 22 year old with a back brave makes me feel :flabbynsick:

But something's gotta be done

Luckily i had a teacher in like the second grade who told me to keep my head up when walking.

It also creates a prescence if you keep your head straight and walk with long strides. When you work out keep your head up looking straight and back straight as well that makes a difference.

But its just a self concious thing you have to keep reminding yourself to do it will become comfortable don't ever slouch

also work on back bridges do them a couple of minutes every day to correct the arch in your back and prevent future back injuries

Deadlifts and yoga. IMO, pilates tries to give you more of a workout while yoga is more concentrated on core and flexibility

Should be doing dl, bench, squats, rows, etc.

Do pushups. If you get tired of them switch to diamond pushups. They streghten your back muscles. Do them for around and you'll start to feel your posture change.
