Lenny from the TV show Good Times

Lenny was played by actor Sugar “Dap” Willie

Before becoming an actor, Sugar “Dap” Willie was a pimp and a stand-up comedian from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during the 60s' and 70s'. The name derives from his sweet style of dress. As a comedian he released two LP albums of his live performances entitled, Ghost of Davy Crockett released in 1973 and From North Philly; which came out three years later. He also recorded a single called Big Jim/Groovin in North Philly. You could liken his style to that of Rudy Ray Moore, Lenny Bruce or the legendary Redd Foxx, who was also a close personal friend of his. In fact, it was Foxx who introduced him to television. If you’re in the mood to laugh you’ll find several audio tracks that have been converted into videos of his hilarious performances on You Tube.

In addition to appearing on Good Times, the comic has made guest appearances on hit TV shows of that era such as Sanford & Son (1975-1977), CHiPs (1981) and The Jeffersons (1983). He was even featured in the 1986 comedy film Wildcats alongside Goldie Hawn and Wesley Snipes.

Sugar “Dap” Willie passed on October 24, 1994

i truly believe thier is an alternate script to Good Times...

in which Lenny is able to seduce Wilona into giving up those recycable goods in exchange for living rent free for at least 6 months...

cause you know she was struggling in them projects till she was able to get that check for being the guardian to Penny :manny:
