Very unlikely. Why? Trust.

Anything tech-related is done online.

An eBay store would make sense as you've got the overarching "big name reliability" backing you, in a sense, and providing peace of mind for your customers (PayPal disputes are a headache, and at least eBay offers additional guarantees of protection as well).

The trust issue - most people are, or should be, very reluctant about doing business with companies online that they've never heard of. It's too big a gamble.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I would say you need a lot of capital and patience. Selling apple products is hard because their distribution chain is hard to link with and your profit margins will be small unless you sell a bunch of product and when I say bunch I mean in the thousands. You have ebay and amazon to compete with among other things. then there is generating traffic after you build a quality user friendly site that looks the part.

I think if you incorporate an ebay store and make it known on your website (since you will need one if you don't have one already) it will give people a greater sense of security when purchasing online. A large part of the online purchasing process is presentation, so make sure that you present yourself in the most professional manner possible. Another idea you could look at it a satisfied customers page, again asking those of your customers who have had a good experience to write something brief for you so you can add it. Again it's all about making the customer feel as secure and in control as possible.

I buy a TON of stuff from Amazon, Eastbay, Bestbuy, Target, TigerDirect, Newsegg, and of course Ralph Lauren. They're TRUSTED though.
