Music on or off?

Simple enough. When you play, do you keep the music on or turn it off? I *always* turn it off if I can. Prefer the submersion. One of the craziest things about playing Nintendo was that I couldn't turn the music off. (I know it was gorgeous in Zelda, but I still would've turned it off if I could have.)

Usually i'll throw on music with sports games because I get tired of the commentary

I only turn music off if I'm playing an online FPS or fighting games sometimes. That is the only time I prefer to listen to my own music. Otherwise, for a lot of modern games, you're removing part of the experience package.

Music's just never really bothered me in a game I guess. I Remeber good music in games but I can't really remember any that I felt was so bad that it made me want to turn it off

Depends on the game. Some games you need the music to fully experience the game. While other games it doesn't matter. I listened to a lot of podcasts and music while playing Pokemon or 2k.
