It's because they appeal to the demographic that is most annoyed with political theater and is likely to read articles online, etc. The people who wake i the morning and read the NYT have no need to hear talking heads say the same things. MSNBC isn't the gateway to the world. When they were gaining in popularity it was because people wanted a left-leaning equivalent to Fox, but that type of energy isn't there anymore and people are annoyed with it on all sides. That and their anchors are dry and no one cares to see them talk. I may not always agree with Cenk and he may be prone to hyperbole and logical leaps that someone with his legal background has no business making (i.e. Maddow may have similar suspicions but she won't ever may that huge jump from A to Z), but they should have kept him on. At the very least he gets people fired up. They got rid of Keith Olbermann, and let Cenk go. No one wants to hear any of these other people talk about anything. They also gave Sharpton a show for no reason. If they want to get ratings they need to go outside the box and give Ralph Nader or someone of that ilk a show.
that's unfortunate. a pretty clear sign that most americans are fukking idiots filled with a lot of hate (racism, homophobia, etc.). msnbc isn't perfect, and they can shill a bit much for the president, but they are far and away the best news channel on cable/network television. cnn/fox/everything else (save for pbs, which i also am a fan of) pushes a right-wing agenda that is hostile to the interests of anyone that supports equality and an end to white supremacy. it's a shame, but i'm not surprised. most people in this country are exposing themselves as hate-filled pieces of shyt.
imo the old MSNBC with Ratigan, Dan AbramsIt's because they appeal to the demographic that is most annoyed with political theater and is likely to read articles online, etc. The people who wake i the morning and read the NYT have no need to hear talking heads say the same things. I think you are looking at the numbers from a wrong perspective. A democratic president was voted TWICE and this is even WITH Fox News being the number cable news station.
MSNBC audience on the other hand doesn't go to cable news and has to appeal to an audience that relies more from social media, Internet, etc. for news while Fox grasp the demographic that only watches cable news.
Plus MSNBC is just garbage anyway....it may yield better sources of different media outlets...somewhere there lies a silver lining but for now it's clear who is the number one cable news network
The problem is msnbc has chosen to be the democratic news network and parrot democratic talking points. in actuality there are not a lot of true democrats out there. I would say half the people who vote democrat are not democrats but simply anti-republican and picking the lessor of 2 evils.
they dont have anyone to stir the flames of hate, racism, sexism, homophobia, etc like Fox has with Billy O and the gang
MSNBC fired a host for saying he wanted to shyt in the mouth of a female politician.
content of the article doesnt match the headline.
you're still around b. haven't see you in forever.yup... seems overblown going by the graphs
