Movies you didn't get because you're young, less mature but now "get it"

I watching American Beauty now. I mean, it was ok when I was younger but now I watching this and I'm like . This niguh clowning. And I'm just half way through watching it. What are movies you watch in an earlier time in your life but you really didn't get. But now that you're more mature. You "get it". Godfather was sorta the same way but I used to fall asleep on that all the time so technically it's a bit different.

Honestly, "Alien" is one for me. As a kid, "Aliens" was just a GOAT action/sci-fi flick. "Alien" was more of a scary movie I couldn't open my eyes at, but I grew to appreciate the fukk out of it. It's my Halloween night flick every year, now.

hmmmm dope thread....i was thinking of this the other day when I was watching a movie, American History X....its not that I didnt "get it" or whatever when I was younger but I think the subject matter didnt hit me like it does today. there is like a dozen movies I could name, but that one comes to mind first.
