I don't have names for either of these but when I see them they just annoy me

1. The pre or post sex scene where they woman covers her naked body with a bed sheet and the only other person in the room is her sexual partner. She's pretty much only hiding her body from the audience because people don't fukk and hid under sheets from each other. Totally pointless scene just remove it altogether.

2. The conversation usually between antagonist or villains that has all the exposition removed from it. These two people are talking and they both know what they're talking about but it's an insider conversation. The audience hasn't been given enough info to know what's going on and the conversation is written to make sure none of the relevant info is included.

3. This is a gaming trope but the unwinable battle. It usually happens in a RPG where they force you into a battle you're supposed to lose. Just make it a cutscene.

-When ppl are talking at a very normal level and someone walks in and interjects, when there is no way they could've heard what was being said from that distance.

-When someone asks a very direct question and the other person doesn't answer or changes the subject and the first person doesn't press the issue that their question was ignored.

Regarding #2

What?

Why would you want everything spelled out for you right away? Scenes like this build tension.

These conversations that are loaded with exposition are dumb, because it usually means that two people are saying out loud things that they both already know.

It doesn't have to be loaded with exposition but watching two people have a conversation and you have zero idea what they're talking about because all the exposition has been removed deliberately is pointless. They're just talking over your head.

Add to that that one guy in the story that is savy enough to figure out everything or knows everything that's going on but always says nothing. There's always a character like that. They know what's going on and the audience can figure out they know but the character either plays dumb or simply says nothing. It usually leads to problems for the protagonist that could have been avoided.
