FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A Fresno mother experienced a terrifying moment Wednesday morning.
She walked into her living room to find an unknown woman sitting on her couch, holding her 6-month-old baby. It happened around 11:15 a.m. at the family's residence on North Palm Avenue near Dakota in Fresno. The mother quickly took her child from the woman who left the home on foot. They called the Fresno Police Department while the father followed the suspect in his car, providing location updates to authorities. Officers detained the woman about a half mile away on East Lansing Way. They discovered the woman had an outstanding warrant and arrested her for that.
Police said the only other potential charge could be trespassing since the child was unharmed and not removed from the house.
The incident left the family shaken.
