The Americans, I am two episodes shy of being in season 4 of a 5 season show and I can't see what the big deal is. Granted it's not trash but it was oversold to me as this magnificent gem that is underrated. In truth it's simply meh.

I liked the first few seasons when it was just nerd comedy. Now that it's basically just a family comedy it's just lame.

It didn't get good until the second season, for me at least. I tried watching it once and gave up after the first season, gave it a second chance and just battled through the first and I liked it quite a bit.
