got 9/10 on this early this morning, don't usually look at this kind of clickbait/buzz feef shyt, but it was in my suggested stories
it is important for everything in life. Too many people I know are just impulsive, quick to anger, hard to talk out their feelings, reactionary. emotional intelligence is about measured responses. And relating to others. Crucial life skills.
It depends on your definition of emotional intelligence. At a surfsce level emotional intelligence is basic shyt like “reading the room”. Men do this.
On a deeper level there are empaths and people who have higher “EQ” because they have inherent talents to feel what others are feeling without the other person explaining anything.
Then there are people who aren’t really empaths, but have raised their EQ to the point where they can manipulate or help people. Some just use EQ to maneuver though social hierarchies more smoothly. Men do this everyday.
I didn’t watch the video but I’m sure the emotional intelligence they are referring to is the kind “required” in CIS romantic relationship between men and women, which usually can be solved by women iust telling the male what they need emotionally on a daily basis, AKA nagging

Emotional labor is your employer asking you to smile, in order to move more product. They use it to describe guys not attending to every detail of the housework, most of it she created.

The problem with these people is that their lives revolve around relationships & they are not cognisant of the world they live in.
It’s a rat race where everything is cutthroat & no one gives a fukk about you. Coupled with the enormous pressure the society puts on men. EQ won’t get you paid as a man & you have to be cutthroat to win big.
