He has been ever since he switched from Mos Def.

Nah. Greatest hip hop drop off on the face of the Earth. Black on Both Sides and Blackstar album are classics, but after his acting started to pick up and experimenting with rock band, he just abandoned his lyrical prowess :snoop: in any meaningful way. Easily could have been vying for that Top 10 position :francis:.

He really didn't fall off after Black On Both Sides tho

I think the only reason some say he fell off after Black On Both Sides is because he didn't make another Black On Both Sides, instead he's constantly switched it up
He still be spitting tho
It's sorta like how Nas never made another Illmatic yet lyrically, he's still at the top of his game.
But both these brothers keep it moving forward and are still some of the best MCs in the game.
On the hip hop joints on The New Danger he was still spitting
He was spitting on True Magic
He was spitting and just floating over The Ecstatic

Only album i was left confused by was Dec 99th :wtf:

After 1 listen these tracks work automatically,
@0:00 "Got It Twisted"
@3:28 "Survival of the Fittest. pt 3
@32:50 "Survival of The Fittest" and
@36:42 "Life is Mine".

The others didn't immediately click.

Common and Stevie Wonder: Common Wonder

Only feeling 1st track and "Bad Girl" @19:31

Skimmed the first 25 and I’m really feeling it - big Stevie fan....thanks for the link!

PS - the second and third blends for “ I was made to love her” and “living for the city” are two of the very best songs I’ve heard all year - grown man music that kids probably won’t relate to...can’t wait to check out the other blends in this thread.
