The new season stars Harry Shum, Jr. as Kuai Liang, Casper Van Dien as Johnny Cage, Brian Tee as Liu Kang, and Mark Dacascos as Kung Lao, with Ian Anthony Dale returning from the first season as Scorpion, and Cary Tagawa reprising his role from the first Mortal Kombat movie as Shang Tsung.

This shyt needs to turn into a full fledged TV show.

If this was 2000's I would say, yeah. However MK won't need to deal with Deadline fukkery. Some of them are like, "We need this shyt by the fall, we need to win the ratings war." and the story turns to shyt. The new freshness is streaming, you can watch a whole season anytime you want and in one day if you got the ills. Its a win for the consumer, and win for the actors so they can get work while the writers draft a new season; one which the plot is solid through the season.
